Hello! Today I’m sharing the secret to your success. If you want to finally have the body that you’ve wanted, feel great, and be able to maintain those results long term I’m telling you how to do that today. It all boils down to the Life Boost Trifecta. These are the three pillars you to need to address to get the results you want while feeling happy and being able to maintain the results long term. When you are able to find the balance between all of these, it’s smooth sailing towards your health, happiness, and success!
These are the 3 pillars in the Life Boost Trifecta:
1. Think about how you want to feel in your body and mind.
If you just thought about a goal weight or losing X number of pounds, I need you to dream bigger! You could be the same weight and have a very different body composition. Do you want to feel strong and have good muscle definition or do you want to feel weak with low energy? It’s not just about weight!
Along the same lines, how do you want to feel? Has there been a time when you were really happy with how your body looked, but you felt deprived and restricted living off of 1200 calories a day? I’m guessing that’s not what you’re dreaming of when you think of your ideal body.
Think beyond a weight goal and really focus on how you want to feel long term. My guess is you’d like to feel confident, energized, happy, satisfied, and strong. Right?
2. Find the food that you love that is also compatible with how you want to feel in your body.
I’m going to tell you right now, there is PLENTY of food out there that you would absolutely love that is also going to help you to achieve the way you want to feel in your body and mind. I’m not saying that this is a super easy step, but it’s an absolutely crucial step if you want to be happy while feeling like you’re ready for a beach vacation at a moment’s notice. Isn’t that worth the time to identify these?
This step is definitely a process and can be a big transition for you. If you’re eating a lot of processed food or added sugar in your diet, this can involve making some adjustments and changing your taste buds a little. It also involves you needing to be open to trying new things. If you’re willing to do this, you’ll be amazed how fun, delicious, and satisfying it can be to get the results you want.
This is where I do a lot of the work with my clients. You need to learn how to listen to your body so you can identify the kind of food that work for you in order to achieve your goals. Sometimes this is even complicated by things like food sensitivities or intolerances that may be contributing to bloating, headaches, or GI signs. Of course, with your ideal body you’re not having to live with those symptoms! Since some of those foods can be otherwise seemingly healthy ingredients, we really need to buckle down and listen to your body.
The good news is, I’m really great at listening to your food preferences and introducing you to food that you love that also makes you feel amazing. Even if you don’t think you could ever like “healthy food” as much as that fast food, hear me out. Sure you may love going to your favorite take-out spot for a quick and delicious lunch, right? But do you love the feeling of a food coma and bloating after? Probably not. What if you could still order something fast and delicious but instead of feeling ready for a nap you felt satisfied and energized for a productive afternoon? You’d likely start turning to that option more often. That’s how this step works!
3. Think about what food means to you and your lifestyle.
Are you a Foodie? If you’re a foodie, there’s no way you’ll be happy living on grilled chicken and steamed broccoli. Really, most of you wouldn’t! Instead, you need to find food compatible with pillars 1 and 2 that still allow you to have a really fun and delicious experience with food.
If you’re ultra busy, then spending hours food prepping isn’t going to be sustainable for you. Instead, you need to find the nourishing foods that you love that are super easy and require minimal prep in order to consistently fuel your body for success.
In order to get sustainable results, it’s crucial that you make sure that the food you’re eating matches up with your lifestyle.
It’s also important to address the emotions, traditions, and social aspects of food. If you tend to turn to food when you’re stressed it’s going to be important to 1) address your stress and 2) make sure that you have nourishing delicious food options to turn to during these times.
If you have a big family that tends to have large gatherings centered around food, then it’s going to be really important to find out how you can still participate in these events while also balancing the other two pillars.
When you can address and achieve the balance between all three of these pillars, that’s the ticket to your success!
How does that sound to you? If it sounds awesome, but a little intimidating this is exactly the approach I use with my clients to help them to feel amazing in their body and mind and to get sustainable results.
